HOOTSOTRAA was born out of lived experience. We are Austin Johnson & Dennis Lancette — two people who’ve faced wrongful evictions, battled through family court, endured government red tape, and struggled with mental health challenges.
We know what it feels like to reach out for help and find no one there. That’s why we started HOOTSOTRAA: to be the lifeline we once needed.
We fight for those denied help, ignored by systems, or pushed to the margins. From roadside emergencies to legal advocacy, from family crises to mentorship, we show up. We don’t stop until real help is found.
Change doesn’t always come from protest or politics. Sometimes, it’s as simple as asking someone, “Are you okay?”
